A man lent money to his friend. This friend seemed to be in serious trouble and needed cash. But after getting the money, the friend killed him. Let’s call this friend “bad friend.”
Who Was Luo Damei?
The victim of this “bad friend” was a man named Luo Damei. You may notice that his name includes the word “Mei,” which in Chinese means “beautiful.” It can describe both men and women, like the English words beautiful or handsome.
And Luo Damei truly was beautiful. When he dressed as a woman for performances, he was so beautiful that even some women felt jealous.
By 2023, Luo Damei had become a famous cross-dressing influencer with over a million followers.
The Night He Disappeared
One night, after finishing a show and preparing to go home, he got a call from the “bad friend.” The friend said he had an urgent problem and needed help.
Luo Damei was a successful influencer, but he was also kind-hearted and often lent money to friends.
So he drove out to meet the “bad friend.” That night, he never came home. Since Luo Damei often performed late at night and had many live events, staying out overnight didn’t seem unusual at first.
The next day, his family received a text message from him saying he had things to deal with and couldn’t come back yet, asking them not to worry.
On the third day, another message arrived, instructing his family to send someone to pick up his car from a specific location.
But even after 50 days, Luo Damei still hadn’t returned home. His family realized something was wrong and reported it to the police.
The truth was horrifying. When police finally found Luo Damei, he had already been killed. According to official reports, the “bad friend” kidnapped him after they met, forced him to transfer over two million yuan, and then killed him the next day to avoid being caught.
Justice Served: Death Sentence Upheld
On October 24, 2025, the court sentenced the “bad friend” to death at his first trial. But he refused to accept the verdict and filed an appeal.
On December 5, 2025—yesterday—the court rejected his appeal and upheld the death sentence.
This is the photo of the “bad friend.” His name is Yu Jinsheng.

Stay safe, everyone. Always be careful about who you trust.
